SUMMER OF SALSA: THE ECHO PARK PROJECT

The Echo Park Project was formed in 2006 by Carlo Lopez, a Latin percussionist from Brooklyn who wanted to recreate the legendary salsa style of New York City in Southern California. The Echo Park Project’s repertoire is a combination of original material and hot 70s cover tunes. Food and beverages available for sale. Presented by PacFed Insurance, Music Fund of Los Angeles, Teamsters Local 986 and Teamsters Local 396 in conjunction with LA Plaza’s exhibition “afroLAtinidad: mi casa, my city.”
